...Potential for Significant Rainfall Wednesday Evening through
Early Friday Southeast of I-55...

Another significant rain event is likely for portions of the area
Wednesday night through Thursday night. The current forecast
rainfall axis of 1 inch or more is favored to be along and
southeast of Pontiac to Gary, with 2 inch plus amounts possible in
portions of Ford, Iroquois, Newton, Jasper and Benton counties.
Given the very wet antecedent conditions and elevated river
levels, this amount of rainfall brings heightened concern for
renewed river rises and even areal flooding of flood prone areas.
Residents living in flood prone areas should pay close attention
to to the latest forecast information.
