1018 AM CDT FRI MAY 15 2015

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING...
VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
    AND CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80
LATER THIS AFTERNOON WITH THE THREAT OVERSPREADING THE
  REMAINDER OF THE AREA TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

AN UNSEASONABLY WARM AND HUMID AIR MASS WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD
NORTH INTO THE AREA TODAY INTO TONIGHT WITH WIDELY SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY TO DEVELOP IN THE WARM AND
MOIST AIR. AN ISOLATED STRONG STORM OR TWO WITH GUSTY WINDS AND
SMALL HAIL CANNOT BE TOTALLY RULED OUT...HOWEVER THE PRIMARY
HAZARD FROM ANY STORMS WILL BE HEAVY RAIN AND CLOUD TO GROUND
  LIGHTNING.

AREAS OF DENSE FOG COULD DEVELOP TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE
LAKE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. ONCE AGAIN
THE PRIMARY THREAT APPEARS TO BE VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND CLOUD
TO GROUND LIGHTNING...THOUGH AN ISOLATED STRONGER STORM WITH
STRONG GUSTY WINDS IS POSSIBLE.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE SUNDAY. IF STORMS DO
INDEED OCCUR...IT IS POSSIBLE THAT CONDITIONS COULD BECOME MORE
FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE WEATHER SUNDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
