thunderstorms ahead of anticipated linear development that pose a
risk for all severe hazards. To the north of Interstate 80, the
main threats are expected to be occasional cloud to ground
lightning and heavy downpours. The thunderstorm complex and
associated severe risk is expected to exit quickly southeast
during the early evening.

In addition...minor flooding will continue along portions of the
Kankakee River.
