NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH WILL PRODUCE...

  OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
  BRIEF DOWNPOURS.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

 SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF
 THE AFTERNOON HOURS AND INTO EARLY EVENING. STORMS WILL END FROM
 WEST TO EAST THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF A
 COLD FRONT.

  DISCUSSION:

  A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO NORTHWESTERN ILLINOIS BY LATE THIS
  AFTERNOON AND SWEEP EASTWARD THROUGH THE REGION...AND PUSH INTO
  NORTHWESTERN INDIANA BY LATE THIS EVENING. SCATTERED
  THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE INCREASINGLY UNSTABLE
  ENVIRONMENT AHEAD OF THE FRONT...WITH MORE LINEAR COVERAGE ALONG
  THE BOUNDARY. THE LACK OF STRONG WINDS ALOFT AND STRONG DEEP
  LAYER WIND SHEAR WILL MAKE THE OCCURRENCE OF SEVERE WEATHER
  UNLIKELY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE WILL BE ANOTHER CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY INTO
THURSDAY EVENING.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING.
