This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to Quarter in size.
   Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are likely after midnight tonight. The
threat of severe weather overnight is low, though the strongest
storms overnight could produce isolated instances of hail,
especially south of I-80. Heavy rainfall is also likely to
accompany these storms overnight, and could lead to some
instances of flooding towards daybreak Thursday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms are expected to continue across the area Thursday
morning. While some storms could be strong, with hail to the size
of quarters and possible localized wind gusts in excess of 50
mph, heavy rainfall from several waves of storms through the
morning could result in some instances of flooding, particularly
along and south of I-80.

Additional widely scattered thunderstorms remain possible
Thursday afternoon and evening, especially south of I-80, though
confidence in extent and timing of these storms remains low due to
the widespread showers and storms expected through the morning.
This could act to shift the primary focus for later day severe
storm development farther south into central parts of Illinois.
Nevertheless, a conditional severe threat will persist in the
afternoon south of I-80 for any storms that may redevelop.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east northeast at 25 to 35 mph tonight
