THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH MAY
   PRODUCE:

    OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
    BRIEF GUSTY WINDS.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

    GENERALLY EAST OF A DIXON TO JOLIET TO RENSSELAER LINE INTO
    THE EARLY EVENING HOURS.

  DISCUSSION:

   SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS HAD DEVELOPED
   ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
   ILLINOIS DURING THE MID AFTERNOON HOURS...ALONG A WEAK
   SURFACE TROUGH. THESE ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE
   DEVELOP WHILE DRIFTING SOUTHEAST INTO THE EARLY EVENING
   HOURS...BEFORE DECREASING INSTABILITY WITH SUNSET RESULTS IN
   THEIR DISSIPATION. ADDITIONAL ISOLATED STORMS MAY FORM DURING
   THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS ALONG THE LAKE BREEZE BOUNDARY OVER
   THE CHICAGO AREA. DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF ONLY RELATIVELY WEAK
   INSTABILITY AND THE LACK OF STRONG DEEP LAYER WIND SHEAR...
   SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED MAINLY AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
