THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
  SIGNIFICANT THUNDERSTORM RISK...WITH AN ASSOCIATED:
      LIMITED HAIL RISK...UP TO PEA SIZE.
      LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK...UP TO 60 MPH.
  LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
  HIGH SWIM RISK TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

A PERIOD OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE FROM WEST TO EAST
ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH MID MORNING. NO SEVERE WEATHER IS
EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS...THOUGH A BRIEF PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN
CAN BE EXPECTED. ADDITIONAL SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY REDEVELOP
OVER THE AREA BY MIDDAY AND INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON AS A STRONG
COLD FRONT PUSHES ACROSS THE AREA. THESE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF
ISOLATED MARGINALLY SEVERE WIND GUSTS.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY. SOME OF THE STORMS MAY PRODUCE
WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 35 KT.

STRONG WINDS AND HIGH WAVES WILL LEAD TO HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR
SMALL CRAFT THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
