...A GUST FRONT OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

  Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Wilmette Harbor...
  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Wilmette Harbor out to Mid
Lake...

At 306 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along
a line extending from near Ohare Airport to 10 nm north of Burns
Harbor, moving northeast at 30 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Winthrop Harbor and Waukegan Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, a southerly wind
shift, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should
seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

This gust front will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and
could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine Warning
may eventually be required if new storms develop along the gust
front. Boaters should consider heading for shore before this gust
front arrives.
