...A look back at the climate for the month of June 2016 for Chicago
and Rockford...

At Chicago...the average high temperature was 81.9 degrees which is
2.2 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 61.2
degrees which is 3.1 degrees above normal. The average temperature
for the month was 71.6 degrees which is 2.7 degrees above normal.
During the month of June...2.85 inches of precipitation was recorded
which is 0.60 of an inch below normal.

One record was set for Chicago for the month of June 2016...
* Record daily precipitation of 1.31 inches on the 22nd. This
broke the old record 1.28 inches set in 1924.

At Rockford...the average high temperature was 83.3 degrees which is
2.2 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 60.2
degrees which is 1.7 degrees above normal. The average temperature
for the month was 71.7 degrees which is 1.9 degrees above normal.
During the month of June...2.19 inches of precipitation was recorded
which is 2.46 inches below normal.

No records were set for Rockford for the month of June 2016.
