LIGHT RAIN ASSOCIATED WITH LOW PRESSURE CENTERED OVER SOUTHERN
IOWA LIFTED NORTH OVER THE AREA ON MONDAY AFTERNOON. PRIOR TO THE
ARRIVAL OF THE RAIN...A PERIOD OF DENSE FOG AFFECTED LOCATIONS
ALONG THE LAKE MICHIGAN SHORE IN ILLINOIS. HIGH TEMPERATURES
REACHED THE MID 40S. AS THE LOW PRESSURE MOVES OVERHEAD MONDAY
NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING...THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF LIGHT RAIN
AND DRIZZLE...ALONG WITH AREAS OF FOG. A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP
ACROSS THE REGION ON TUESDAY MORNING...WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING
INTO THE 30S FROM MORNING HIGHS IN THE LOWER TO MID 40S. SPOTTY
LIGHT RAIN WILL LINGER INTO THE AFTERNOON FOR PARTS OF THE
AREA...WHICH COULD MIX WITH WET SNOW AS THE COLDER AIR ARRIVES.
HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN PROVIDE DRY BUT COLDER CONDITIONS ON
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. FORECAST AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES ON
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY ARE SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE IN THE UPPER 20S
TO LOW 30S...AND CLOSE TO AVERAGE...LOWER TO MID 30S ON FRIDAY.
