UNDER CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS...TEMPERATURES DROPPED INTO THE
UPPER 40S TO LOWER 50S...EXCEPT FOR THE HEAVILY URBANIZED AREAS OF
THE CHICAGO METRO AREA...WHICH REMAINED IN THE MIDDLE 50S.

STRENGTHENING SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE EXCEPTED FOR TODAY WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 70S UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. WINDS
SHOULD GUST TO 20 TO 25 MPH THIS AFTERNOON. WITH SOME INCREASING
CLOUDINESS AND A MUCH WARMER AFTERNOON...LOW TEMPERATURES FOR
SATURDAY MORNING WILL ONLY DROP INTO THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S.

THERE WILL BE INCREASING CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BY
SATURDAY MORNING AS A COLD FRONT PUSHES FROM NORTHWEST TO
SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION. THE ROCKFORD AREA COULD SEE SOME
PRECIPITATION AS EARLY AS DAYBREAK SATURDAY MORNING...WITH
INCREASING CHANCES TO THE SOUTH AND EAST THROUGH THE DAY.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE WELL ABOVE NORMAL ON SATURDAY AS WARM AIR
CONTINUES TO STREAM INTO THE REGION AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT. HIGH
TEMPERATURES ON SATURDAY ARE EXPECTED TO REACH INTO THE LOWER
80S...WHICH IS ABOUT 7 DEGREES ABOVE THE SEASONAL NORMAL OF 75
DEGREES.
