LOW PRESSURE WAS LOCATED WELL TO THE NORTH NEAR HUDSON BAY ON
FRIDAY AFTERNOON...WITH WEAK HIGH PRESSURE TO THE SOUTH. THIS
RESULTED IN STEADY SOUTHWEST WINDS. PERSISTENT CLOUD COVER LIMITED
HIGH TEMPERATURES TO THE LOWER TO MID 30S DESPITE THE SOUTHWEST
WINDS...WITH CLEARING PRIOR TO SUNSET. CLOUDS ARE EXPECTED TO FILL
BACK IN FRIDAY NIGHT. LOWS BY EARLY SATURDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE
MID TO UPPER 20S. A DRY COLD FRONT WILL CROSS THE AREA OVERNIGHT
INTO SATURDAY MORNING...BUT THE AIR MASS BEHIND THE FRONT WILL
STILL BE RELATIVELY MILD FOR LATE JANUARY...THUS ENABLING
TEMPERATURES TO REACH THE MID TO UPPER 30S DESPITE MOSTLY CLOUDY
SKIES. A FAST MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
REGION LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON...BRINGING
ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL OF 1 TO 4 INCHES. SOME RAIN COULD MIX IN
EARLY ON SUNDAY SOUTH OF THE ILLINOIS AND KANKAKEE RIVERS.
NORTHEAST WINDS WILL BECOME GUSTY FROM THE LATE MORNING INTO THE
EARLY AFTERNOON...WHICH COULD RESULT IN SOME BLOWING SNOW. ANOTHER
FAST MOVING CLIPPER TYPE SYSTEM WILL THEN BRING A CHANCE FOR SNOW
MONDAY AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY EVENING...WITH LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS
