SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLOUDY ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA DURING THE MID MORNING HOURS. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING ACROSS THE REGION...PRODUCING BRIEF
HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. AFTER MORNING LOWS IN THE
MID 60S TO LOW 70S...TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE LOW TO MID 70S WITH
SOUTHERLY WINDS.

A WARM FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA TODAY BRINGING WARMER AND
MOIST AIR INTO THE REGION. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. HOWEVER THE PRECIPITATION
WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND
CONTINUING INTO SATURDAY MORNING. HIGHS THIS AFTERNOON WILL REACH
INTO THE LOW TO MID 80S...AND ON SATURDAY IN THE LOW 80S. MUCH OF
THE AREA WILL REMAIN DRY DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY. HIGHS WILL BE
IN THE LOW TO MID 80S...EXCEPT UPPER 70S IN FAR NORTHEAST
ILLINOIS DUE TO SOUTHEAST WINDS. SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES
WILL INCREASE AGAIN LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT AND
THEN WIDESPREAD STORMS COULD OCCUR ON LABOR DAY WHEN THE FRONT
MOVES ACROSS THE AREA. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE LOWER 80S.
