NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA SAW QUITE A BIT OF
CLOUDINESS DURING THE AFTERNOON...WHILE NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS SAW A BIT MORE SUN. LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE
UPPER 30S WHERE THE CLOUDS WERE NUMEROUS...AND IN THE MID TO UPPER
40S WHERE THERE WAS SUNSHINE. WINDS WERE FROM THE NORTHWEST.

NORTHERLY WINDS AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL
BRING THE CHANCES FOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS TO THE ILLINOIS
COUNTIES SURROUNDING LAKE MICHIGAN AND INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA
TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING. MEANWHILE THE REST OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS
AND PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST INDIANA SOUTH OF THE KANKAKEE RIVER VALLEY
WILL SEE DRY CONDITIONS TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. IN ADDITION TO THE LAKE
EFFECT SNOW...THE NORTHERLY WINDS WILL BRING THE REGION A SHOT OF
COLDER AIR ALLOWING TEMPERATURES ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY TO ONLY
REACH INTO THE 30S. THEN A WEATHER SYSTEM WILL APPROACH LATE
SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY BRINGING WARMER TEMPERATURES AND THE
CHANCES OF RAIN.
