WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

1150 AM CDT MON MAR 23 2015

DURING THE MORNING HOURS SOUTHERN WISCONSIN AND PARTS OF NORTHERN
ILLINOIS SAW QUITE A BIT OF SUN...WHILE HEADING SOUTHWARD INTO
CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND EAST INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA THE CLOUDS WERE
THICKER AND MORE NUMEROUS. AS THE NOON HOUR APPROACHED TEMPERATURES
WERE IN THE LOWER 30S AND WINDS WERE FROM THE EAST TO SOUTHEAST AT 10
TO 20 MPH.

THIS AFTERNOON...A STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO ADVANCE TOWARDS OUR
REGION FROM THE SOUTHWEST. RAIN FROM THIS SYSTEM WILL OVERSPREAD THE
REGION THIS LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS
WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME THUNDERSTORMS. A FEW STRONG STORMS ARE
POSSIBLE IN EASTERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA ALONG THE
IROQUOIS RIVER VALLEY. ON WEDNESDAY...MOST OF THE DAY WILL BE DRY AS
A WARM FRONT HELPS TEMPERATURES CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 40S TO LOWER
50S IN FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND INTO THE MID 50S TO LOWER 60S
ELSEWHERE.

THEN ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM PUSHES THROUGH THE REGION WEDNESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY FOLLOWED BY A COLD FRONT...BRINGING ANOTHER CHANCE FOR
PRECIPITATION WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH TEMPERATURES
WILL DROP INTO THE 40S FOR THURSDAY AND INTO THE 30S FOR FRIDAY.
