THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA REGION SAW A PERIOD OF
DENSE FOG EARLY THIS MORNING FOLLOWED BY MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES.
TEMPERATURES BY LATE MORNING WERE IN THE LOWER TO MID 80S WITH
NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 25 MPH AT TIMES.

A SECOND COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH SOUTHEASTWARD THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS EASTERN ILLINOIS INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA. THERE IS A
GOOD CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AHEAD AND ALONG THIS FRONT
BY LATE AFTERNOON. MEANWHILE...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE
SOUTHWARD ACROSS SOUTHERN WISCONSIN INTO NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND BRING
THE SLIGHT CHANCES OF SHOWERS WITH AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM OR TWO
POSSIBLE. NORTHWEST TO WEST WINDS WILL BE GUSTY THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 80S. QUIET
WEATHER IS THEN EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO MONDAY NIGHT...AS COOLER AND
DRIER AIR MOVES INTO THE AREA FROM THE NORTH...BRINGING ANOTHER
STRETCH OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES LASTING THROUGH THE WORK WEEK.
SLIGHT CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS RETURNS TUESDAY
AFTERNOON AND CONTINUES INTO THE REST OF THE WEEK...AS VARIOUS
TROUGHS OF LOW PRESSURE MOVE THROUGH THE REGION. TEMPERATURES SHOULD
REMAIN PLEASANT.
