SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY TO SUNNY ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA IN THE AFTERNOON. LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES
WERE IN THE LOW 60S NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN TO THE LOWER 70S INLAND.

A SURFACE BOUNDARY IS EXPECTED TO SHIFT OVER THE AREA AS A BACK
DOOR COLD FRONT BY EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. THIS IS LIKELY TO
RESULT IN WINDS COMING IN OFF THE LAKE THROUGH THE DAY...ALONG
WITH INCREASED CLOUDINESS. A LOW CLOUD DECK COULD SPREAD OVER
PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS BY AROUND DAYBREAK. POSSIBLY
LASTING INTO THE AFTERNOON BEFORE SLOWLY DISSIPATING. COOLER
TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 60S WILL BE FAVORED ACROSS NORTHEASTERN
ILLINOIS DUE TO THE ONSHORE FLOW. WARMER AIR WILL MAKE A QUICK
RETURN ON FRIDAY WITH TEMPERATURES WELL INTO THE 70S AREA WIDE.
SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ARE EXPECTED TO RETURN SATURDAY
AND SATURDAY NIGHT AS A FRONTAL SYSTEM APPROACHES...ALONG WITH
ABOVE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S.
