SKIES WERE CLOUDY ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
EARLY THIS EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES WERE AROUND 20 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL...ONLY REACHING THE LOW TO MID 50S.

THE BIG STORY THROUGH THE WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WORK WEEK WILL
BE THE OCTOBER LIKE TEMPERATURES. ISOLATED LAKE EFFECT RAIN
SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE NEAR THE LAKE AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AS THE
COOL NORTH NORTHEAST WINDS MOVE ACROSS THE MILD LAKE WATERS. LOWS
WILL RANGE FROM THE LOW 40S IN THE OUTLYING AREAS TO AROUND 50 IN
AND NEAR THE CITY. AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND REINFORCING SHOT
OF COOL AIR WILL BRING PERIODIC RAIN SHOWERS FRIDAY AND FRIDAY
NIGHT...MAINLY NORTH OF A PONTIAC TO CHICAGO LINE DURING THE DAY
FRIDAY. HIGHS WILL ONLY RANGE FROM THE MID 50S TO UPPER 50S NORTH
OF INTERSTATE 80 TO THE LOWER 60S SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
SATURDAY WILL BE IN THE LOWER 60S...ONLY MODERATING SLIGHTLY TO
THE MID AND UPPER 60S ON SUNDAY.
