WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

DURING THE MORNING HOURS...THE REGION SAW A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS AS
SMALL AREAS OF DENSE FOG BURNED OFF. TEMPERATURES BY LATE MORNING
WERE IN THE UPPER 70S TO LOW 80S.

A WARM FRONT WILL PUSH NORTHWARD BRINGING WARMER AND MORE HUMID AIR
INTO THE REGION. AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN
THE UPPER 80S AND LOWER 90S...WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES NEAR 100.
HOWEVER...AREAS ALONG LAKE MICHIGAN WILL SEE HIGHS IN THE LOWER 80S.
THE VERY WARM CONDITIONS WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES NEAR 100 WILL
CONTINUE MONDAY AND TUESDAY. DRY CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED THIS
AFTERNOON AND INTO MONDAY MORNING. HOWEVER...WITH THE WARM MOIST AIR
IN PLACE AND A COLD FRONT THAT WILL SLOWLY WORK ITS WAY ACROSS THE
REGION...THE NEXT CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
MONDAY AFTERNOON INTO TUESDAY WITH BETTER CHANCES TUESDAY NIGHT INTO
WEDNESDAY. SOMEWHAT COOLER CONDITIONS THEN BE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY.
