PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES WERE OVER NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH A FEW FLURRIES EARLIER IN THE
AFTERNOON. LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE MID 20S TO THE
LOWER 30S. WINDS WERE SOUTHWEST GUSTING NEAR 30 MPH.

TONIGHT`S LOW TEMPERATURES WILL BE MAINLY IN THE SINGLE DIGITS
ABOVE ZERO. HIGHS WEDNESDAY WILL BE IN THE TEENS TO MID 20S. A
CLIPPER SYSTEM MAY BRING LIGHT SNOW TO THE AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY. AN INCH OR LESS OF SNOW IS EXPECTED NEAR THE
ILLINOIS WISCONSIN BORDER...TO 1 TO 2 INCHES FARTHER SOUTH AND
WEST...AND ALSO NEAR THE LAKE WHERE A FEW GREATER AMOUNTS ARE
POSSIBLE. HIGH PRESSURE SPREADS ACROSS THE AREA BY FRIDAY...WHICH
WILL ALLOW THE LAKE SNOW SHOWERS TO DISSIPATE AND/OR MOVE EAST.
ARCTIC AIR RETURNS THURSDAY NIGHT WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS DIPPING INTO
THE SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO AWAY FROM DOWNTOWN CHICAGO.
