WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

1057 AM CST THU NOV 20 2014 /1157 AM EST THU NOV 20 2014/

LATE MORNING SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY TO SUNNY ACROSS NORTHEAST
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA. MORNING LOWS WERE IN THE MID TEENS
TO LOWER 20S. LATE MORNING TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE LOWER TO MID
20S. WINDS WERE GUSTING TO NEAR 30 MPH FROM THE WEST.

TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL ONLY INCREASE A FEW DEGREES INTO
THE LOWER 20S NORTH AND UPPER 20S SOUTH. THEN FRIDAY MORNING AS
HIGH PRESSURE MOVES OVERHEAD TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM 4 TO 13
DEGREES. AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL RECOVER TO THE MID 20S TO
LOWER 30S FRIDAY AFTERNOON. CHANGES WILL THEN FINALLY BE IN STORE
AS MILDER AIR AND MOISTURE BEGIN TO ARRIVE FRIDAY EVENING AND
NIGHT. LIGHT SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN COULD DEVELOP FRIDAY EVENING
AND GRADUALLY TRANSITION TO RAIN BY SATURDAY MORNING AS
TEMPERATURES WARM ABOVE FREEZING. A MUCH MILDER WEEKEND...WITH
HIGHS APPROACHING 50 ON SUNDAY...WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY PERIODS OF
RAIN AS A STRONG STORM SYSTEM TRACKS ACROSS THE REGION. COLDER AIR
WILL BE DRIVEN BACK IN BY STRONG WESTERLY WINDS ON MONDAY AS INTENSE
LOW PRESSURE MOVES SLOWLY ACROSS THE NORTHERN GREAT LAKES.
LINGERING PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW
DURING THE DAY INTO MONDAY EVENING.
