DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS...SOUTHERN WISCONSIN...PARTS OF NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA SAW THE CLOUD
COVER CONTINUE TO INCREASE AS A WEATHER SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM
THE NORTHWEST. A FEW LOCATIONS REPORTED SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON.
MEANWHILE...PARTS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS SAW
PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. BY LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES
RANGED FROM THE UPPER 20S TO LOW 30S NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN TO THE
MID 30S TO LOW 40S INLAND.

IT LOOKS TO BE AN ACTIVE WEATHER WEEK.

THIS EVENING THE CLOUD COVER WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE AS THE
WEATHER DISTURBANCE ADVANCES FURTHER INTO THE REGION. THERE IS A
CHANCE FOR SOME LIGHT SNOW TO SPREAD SOUTH OF THE NORTHERN TIER
COUNTIES OF ILLINOIS...AGAINST THE WISCONSIN BORDER...WHERE SNOW
IS ALREADY FALLING...BUT THE BEST CHANCE FOR MORE WIDESPREAD SNOW
WILL BE AFTER MIDNIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. SOME SOUTHERN AREAS
MAY SEE A WINTRY MIX MONDAY MORNING THAT WILL TURN TO LIGHT RAIN
OR DRIZZLE IN THE AFTERNOON BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION ENDS. SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS LOOK TO BE 2 TO 3 INCHES FOR THE FAR NORTHERN
ILLINOIS COUNTIES...TO 1 TO 2 INCHES ACROSS MUCH OF THE REST OF
THE AREA. AFTER A SHORT QUIET WEATHER PERIOD MONDAY NIGHT. THE
NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING A CHANCE OF RAIN FOR MOST OF THE
AREA THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON. RAIN WILL BE LIKELY TUESDAY
EVENING AND THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF THUNDER.
