SKIES WERE CLOUDY ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA AT MIDDAY. AFTER MORNING LOWS IN THE TEENS AND LOW 20S IN
THE OUTLYING AREAS...TO THE MID 20S CLOSER TO THE LAKE...TEMPERATURES
ARE IN THE MID TO UPPER 20S. LIGHT FLURRIES CONTINUED TO FALL
ACROSS PARTS OF THE AREA AS WELL.

UNSEASONABLY COLD WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO
NEXT WEEK...WITH SIGNS THAT THE COLDEST AIR WILL COME MONDAY AND
TUESDAY NEXT WEEK. HIGHS THIS AFTERNOON WILL AGAIN ONLY BE IN THE UPPER
20S TO LOWER 30S. THE BEST CHANCE FOR MEASURABLE
SNOW...POTENTIALLY ADDING TO ONE TO TWO INCHES...WILL COME ON
SATURDAY EVENING AND NIGHT AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES
ACROSS THE REGION. A CHANCE FOR SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY AND
POSSIBLY SUNDAY NIGHT. ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY...NEAR RECORD COLD IS
POSSIBLE...WITH HIGHS ONLY IN THE LOWER TO MID 20S ON MONDAY AND
LOWER TO MID 20S ON TUESDAY. OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE
LOWER TO MID TEENS.
