MUCH COOLER AIR MOVED INTO THE REGION OVERNIGHT. LOWS BY EARLY
THURSDAY RANGED FROM THE MID TO UPPER 40S ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL AND
FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS...TO THE LOW TO MID 50S ELSEWHERE. SKIES
WERE OVERCAST TO START THURSDAY. THE BIG STORY THROUGH THE
WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WORK WEEK WILL BE THE OCTOBER LIKE
TEMPERATURES. THE REST OF TODAY WILL BE DRY BUT CONTINUED
CLOUDY...WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 80 AND LOWER TO MID 60S SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
ISOLATED LAKE EFFECT RAIN SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE NEAR THE LAKE AFTER
MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AS THE COOL NORTH NORTHEAST WINDS MOVE ACROSS THE
MILD LAKE WATERS. LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 40S TO AROUND 50
OUTSIDE OF CHICAGO AND MID 50S IN AND NEAR THE CITY. AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND REINFORCING SHOT OF COOL AIR WILL BRING
PERIODIC RAIN SHOWERS FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT...MAINLY NORTH OF
A PONTIAC TO CHICAGO LINE DURING THE DAY FRIDAY. HIGHS WILL ONLY
RANGE FROM THE MID 50S TO AROUND 60 NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 TO THE
LOWER AND MID 60S SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. SATURDAY WILL BE IN THE
LOWER 60S...ONLY MODERATING SLIGHTLY TO THE MID AND UPPER 60S ON
SUNDAY.
