WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

1155 AM CST THU FEB 26 2015

PERIODS OF SNOW FELL ACROSS THE REGION DURING THE MORNING HOURS. AS
THE NOON HOUR APPROACHED MOST OF NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS SAW AN END TO THE SNOWFALL WITH CLOUDS BEGINNING TO BREAK.
MEANWHILE...LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WERE STILL OCCURRING ACROSS
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS INTO PARTS OF NORTHWEST INDIANA. LATE MORNING
TEMPERATURES WERE MAINLY IN THE TEENS WITH WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE
SINGLE DIGITS.

AS THE CENTER OF HIGH PRESSURE MOVES CLOSER THE CLOUDS WILL BREAK
OVER NORTHERN ILLINOIS AS THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS AROUND LAKE
MICHIGAN BEGIN TO SHIFT EASTWARD INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA AND WESTERN
MICHIGAN...THEN COME TO AN END IN THOSE ARES THIS EVENING AS THE
CENTER OF HIGH MOVES OVERHEAD. HIGHS THIS AFTERNOON WILL GENERALLY
BE IN THE TEENS. TONIGHT LOWS WILL RANGE FROM 5 ABOVE ZERO TO 10
DEGREES BELOW ZERO. WITH THE ARCTIC HIGH OVER THE AREA WE CAN EXPECT
DRY BUT COLD CONDITIONS TO PREVAIL FRIDAY AND MOST OF SATURDAY WITH
HIGHS FRIDAY IN THE TEENS...THEN WARMING INTO THE 20S ON SATURDAY.
ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL THEN MOVE INTO THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT
BRINGING THE CHANCES OF LIGHT SNOW THAT WILL CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY.
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THIS TIME.
