WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

THE SUN WAS SEEN IN THE MORNING...ALONG WITH CLOUDS AND LIGHT RAIN
ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA. LATE MORNING
TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE LOW TO MID 40S WITH SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS
AT 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

LOW PRESSURE OVER SOUTHWESTERN WISCONSIN WILL TRACK TOWARDS
NORTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN TONIGHT. THIS WILL KEEP THE AREA DRY
THROUGH MIDNIGHT. SOUTHERLY WINDS WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL KEEP
TEMPERATURES MILD ACROSS THE AREA...AND HIGHS WILL BE IN THE MID
40S TO NEAR 50. A SECOND STORM SYSTEM COULD IMPACT THE REGION ON
CHRISTMAS EVE DAY. PRECIPITATION WILL START OUT IN THE FORM OF
RAIN...BUT THEN CHANGE TO SNOW DURING THE DAY AND INTO THE
EVENING HOURS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA. THERE IS STILL
UNCERTAINTY WITH THE EXACT TRACK THE STORM WILL TAKE...AN THUS
WHICH AREAS WILL SEE ACCUMULATING SNOW. KEEP CHECKING LATER
FORECASTS ON THE POTENTIAL FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW OVER PARTS OF THE
MIDWEST.
