SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAD DEVELOPED AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING
COLD FRONT ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA DURING
THE LATE AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES MADE IT INTO THE LOW 70S WITH
WESTERLY WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH.

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING...AND
MOVE EAST OF THE AREA DURING THE EARLY OVERNIGHT HOURS. DRIER AND
COOLER AIR WILL THEN MOVE IN AND SKIES WILL BECOME PARTLY CLOUDY
BY DAYBREAK. TUESDAY WILL SEE NEAR TO SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL
TEMPERATURES INLAND IN THE UPPER 50S AND LOWER 60S UNDER MOSTLY
SUNNY SKIES. A LAKE BREEZE WILL PUSH INLAND DURING THE
AFTERNOON...KEEPING HIGHS NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN LIMITED TO THE MIDDLE
40S. HIGHS ON WEDNESDAY WILL BE SIMILAR TO TUESDAY FOR MOST
AREAS. CLOUDS WILL INCREASE DURING THE AFTERNOON AS LOW PRESSURE
MOVES ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS AND A WARM FRONT LIFTS
NORTHWARD...WITH RAIN SHOWERS POSSIBLE FOR PARTS OF NORTHERN
ILLINOIS. A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE WEDNESDAY
NIGHT...WITH FAIRLY WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AHEAD OF
A COLD FRONT ON THURSDAY.
