WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

429 PM CDT MON SEP 29 2014 /529 PM EDT MON SEP 29 2014/

SKIES WERE PARTLY CLOUDY ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE THIS AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES MADE IT
INTO THE LOW TO MID 80S.

A COLD FRONT IS MOVING ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...AND WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA DURING THE EVENING
HOURS. THIS WILL RESULT IN GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS AND RAPIDLY
FALLING TEMPERATURES. LOW CLOUDS WILL ALSO OVERSPREAD THE
AREA...WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SHOWERS OR SPRINKLES IN PARTS OF
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT
WILL REACH INTO THE MID 40S IN THE OUTLYING AREAS TO THE MID 50S
BY THE LAKE AND TO AREAS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.

TUESDAY WILL BE MUCH COOLER...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE LAKE WITH HIGHS
IN THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S. HIGHS WELL AWAY FROM THE LAKE WILL
RANGE FROM THE MID 60S TO UPPER 60S. SKIES WILL START OUT CLOUDY
BUT LOW CLOUDS WILL GRADUALLY ERODE THROUGH THE DAY. WEDNESDAY
WILL WARM BACK TO THE MID TO UPPER 70S AWAY FROM THE LAKE. A STORM
SYSTEM WILL BRING FAIRLY WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ON
WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY TO FINALLY END THE LONG DRY
STRETCH.
