URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHICAGO IL
326 PM CST SUN NOV 23 2014

...LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING SNOW AND WINDY CONDITIONS TO THE
AREA MONDAY...

.AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS WILL SLIDE
SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES TONIGHT. MEANWHILE A
SECOND AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL LIFT NORTHEAST FROM THE SOUTHERN
PLAINS. THESE TWO LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS WILL CONSOLIDATE OVER
SOUTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN LATE TONIGHT AND QUICKLY DEEPEN. AS THIS
SYSTEM INTENSIFIES...MUCH COLDER AIR WILL ARRIVE AND CHANGE RAIN
OVER TO SNOW. THERE MAY BE A PERIOD OF A WINTRY MIX DURING THE
TRANSITION...BUT SHOULD BE RATHER QUICK. SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL
QUICKLY TURN WEST TO NORTHWEST AND INCREASE TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH
SOME GUSTS NEARING 40 MPH. THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS AND
SNOWFALL MAY CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES
MAINLY IN THE AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.
