...LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING SNOW AND WINDY CONDITIONS TO
THE AREA MONDAY...

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DEEPEN AS IT LIFTS NORTHEAST ACROSS
THE NORTHERN GREAT LAKES AND INTO CANADA MONDAY...TRAILING A SHARP
COLD FRONT THROUGH THE AREA DURING THE DAY. MUCH COLDER AIR
SPREADING IN BEHIND THE COLD FRONT WILL CHANGE LINGERING RAIN OVER
TO SNOW FROM WEST TO EAST MONDAY...PERHAPS WITH A BRIEF WINTRY MIX
DURING THE TRANSITION...AND MAY PRODUCE A PERIOD OF ACCUMULATING
SNOW ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST ILLINOIS
BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO LIGHTER SNOW SHOWERS MONDAY EVENING. IN
ADDITION TO FALLING SNOW...WESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO
30 MPH WITH SOME GUSTS NEARING 40 MPH ON MONDAY. THE COMBINATION
OF GUSTY WINDS AND SNOWFALL MAY CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW AND
REDUCED VISIBILITIES MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
