THIS HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING RIVER: KANKAKEE
RIVER.

FOR THE KANKAKEE RIVER...INCLUDING SHELBY...MINOR FLOODING IS
POSSIBLE.

RUNOFF FROM SUNDAY AND MONDAYS RAINFALL HAS CAUSED RISES OF WATER
LEVELS ON AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS ACROSS EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA.

FOR THE KANKAKEE RIVER AT SHELBY, THE LATEST STAGE WAS 7.6 FEET
AT 8 PM MONDAY. FLOOD STAGE IS 9.0 FEET. BANKFULL STAGE IS 8.5 FEET.
MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE...WATER LEVELS ARE PROJECTED TO REACH
FLOOD STAGE WEDNESDAY MORNING AND THEN CREST AROUND 10.2 FEET FRIDAY
MORNING...WHICH IS 1.2 FEET ABOVE FLOOD STAGE.
