.Discussion...The high pressure ridge axis will gradually shift
south across central and into south Florida this week. The east
coast sea breeze will develop and push inland this afternoon and
again on Tuesday, with a sea breeze collision over the interior
late both afternoons, resulting in isolated lightning storms.
Isolated morning showers will be possible along the coast in the
onshore flow. Winds will increase to 12-15 MPH behind the sea breeze
with gusts up to 20 MPH possible. Min RH values will be near 40
percent over the interior and hold between 50 and 55 percent along
the coast through Tuesday. Smoke dispersion values will be Generally
Good to Very Good into Wednesday.
Fire weather conditions will become increasingly sensitive as
temperatures increase into the mid 90s late this week with
breezy/gusty west to southwest winds. Near Red Flag conditions
are possible Thursday and Friday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
