This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for our Four-State area of southern
Arkansas, northern Louisiana, eastern Texas and southeast Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Passing clouds with a weak upper low overhead, may ring out a few
sprinkles or even a light shower this morning. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms will begin to edge into our I-30 corridor overnight
ahead of the front. No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

The approaching cold front with a large upper level storm system
over the Rockies will keep a brisk southwest flow aloft overhead that
will have to potential to produce severe weather, along with locally
heavy rainfall Thursday and Friday. Daytime heating on Thursday with
boost thunderstorm coverage to numerous and intensity up to strong
or severe. There is an enhanced risk for hail north of I-30, in
southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas. We will see a slight risk
over east Texas and northwest Louisiana continue overnight ahead of
the early morning cold front. The cooler air will be more stable and
start to limit the threat for any more hail and wind, but training
thunderstorms could produce some flooding issues across our Four-
State area into Saturday. As the deeper cool air settles down, the
heavy weather will shift southward during Saturday, but light rain
may linger into the overnight. Our area lakes, rivers and bayous will
see rises once again with some flooding possible into early next
week. Cooler and drier to end the Winter season early in the week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected until Thursday afternoon.
