DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms are ongoing this
afternoon across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Locally
heavy rainfall will remain possible through the evening from southeast
Oklahoma through northwest Arkansas with a limited risk of flash
flooding. Gusty northerly winds will persist through the overnight
hours especially across the higher terrain areas of northwest
Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Gusty winds will continue on Thursday and Friday with temperatures
steadily warming to above normal readings for the weekend.
Localized fire weather concerns may develop in parts of northeast
Oklahoma on Saturday. The overall threat will be dependent on
fuel states, with green-up well underway in many areas.

The threat for severe thunderstorms will increase Monday as the
next storm system of interest swings into the Central Plains. The
severe weather threat may extend into Tuesday, as well, depending
on the timing of relevant features. Expect details to be refined
over the coming days, with continued moderate uncertainty in the
evolution of the storm system.
