THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 49.8, WHICH IS 0.2 DEGREES
ABOVE THE 1981-2010 CLIMATOLOGICAL NORMAL. MONTHLY PRECIPITATION
WAS 2.00, WHICH IS 1.17 INCHES (37 PERCENT) BELOW THE 1981-2010
CLIMATOLOGICAL NORMAL. NO SNOW WAS RECORDED.

THERE WAS 1.07 INCHES OF RAIN ON NOVEMBER 7TH, MAKING IT THE WETTEST
ELECTION DAY ON RECORD. THE PREVIOUS WETTEST WAS 0.82 INCHES IN 1943.

A RECORD DAILY LOW TEMPERATURE OF 26 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 11TH.
THIS TIED THE RECORD PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1973 AND 1901, AND TIED FOR
THE COLDEST VETERAN`S DAY TEMPERATURE ON RECORD. IT WAS ALSO THE
FIRST RECORD DAILY LOW TEMPERATURE IN NOVEMBER SINCE 1976.

AIRPORT SINCE AUGUST OF 1941. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR THE
WASHINGTON DC AREA OBSERVED DOWNTOWN EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF 1872.
PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF 1871. SNOWFALL
RECORDS BEGAN IN JANUARY OF 1884.
