.SYNOPSIS...AN AREA OF LOWER PRESSURE SHOULD PERSIST OVER THE
SOUTHERN HALF OF THE GULF DURING THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS...WHICH
SHOULD LEAD TO WINDS GENERALLY FROM AN EASTERLY DIRECTION. RIGHT
NOW...WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW CAUTIONARY HEADLINE
LEVELS. SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT WEEK. TROPICAL STORM ERIKA DISSIPATED ON
SATURDAY NEAR CUBA AND THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER SAYS THERE IS
A LOW CHANCE...AROUND 30 PERCENT...THAT THE STORM MAY REDEVELOP IN
THE EASTERN GULF. IN OTHER WORDS...THE REDEVELOPMENT OF ERIKA
SEEMS UNLIKELY BUT MARINERS SHOULD STILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE
LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
