FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STATE COLLEGE PA
224 PM EST SUN DEC 4 2016

.DISCUSSION...

A WEAK FRONT BUT RATHER POTENT DISTURBANCE IN THE UPPER
ATMOSPHERE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE DISTRICT TONIGHT. THIS
WILL BRING A PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW TO MUCH OF CENTRAL PA.
THE LIGHT SNOW SHOULD BECOME A WINTRY MIX OR EVEN TURN TO
PLAIN RAIN BY THE END OF THE NIGHT. ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE
VERY LIGHT, AND MAINLY IN THE NORTH. SOME OF THE RIDGE TOPS
ACROSS THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS COULD SEE A LIGHT GLAZING OF
ICE ON TREES AND UNTREATED SURFACES LATE TONIGHT.

AFTER A BRIEF PERIOD OF TRANQUIL WEATHER MONDAY AFTERNOON AND
NIGHT...ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL SLIDE OVERHEAD ON TUESDAY. ANOTHER
COATING OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE BEFORE THAT PRECIPITATION TURNS TO
RAIN.
