Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
420 PM CDT Tue Aug 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...
This afternoon temperatures climbed into the lower to middle nineties
with slightly cooler readings across parts of Lower Northwest and North
Central Louisiana associated with convection with an upper low in the
Gulf of Mexico and trough axis reaching inland across Louisiana. Also
cooler readings associated with convection with approaching boundary
moving South into Southeast Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas. Cooler
temperatures and more active convection will prevail into the mid to
late week as the low across the Gulf and the boundary from the North
move and affect the Four State Region. Toward the weekend and beyond
a possible tropical system will contribute additional cool weather and
rainfall.
