SUMMARY OF FWF DISCUSSIONS

Discussion from LAXFWFSGX

DRY AND A LITTLE WARMER TODAY UNDER WEAK HIGH PRESSURE. FOR THURSDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY...A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM THE SOUTHWEST
WILL BRING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. FOR SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...
GENERALLY FAIR WEATHER WITH NEAR SEASONAL TEMPERATURES.

Discussion from LAXFWFLOX

A COUPLE OF WEATHER SYSTEMS WILL MOVE CLOSE TO THE
AREA THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY BUT LIKELY LEAVE THE AREA DRY. THE FIRST
ONE WILL COME IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO EARLY
THURSDAY AND BRING MOSTLY JUST HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS. THE SECOND SYSTEM
WILL COME IN FROM THE NORTH LATE THURSDAY INTO EARLY FRIDAY AND MAY
JUST CLIP THE EASTERN PORTION OF OUR FORECAST AREA, MAINLY MTNS AND
ANTELOPE VALLEY, WITH SOME LIGHT SHOWERS. LOWERING HUMIDITIES ARE
EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AS LIGHT NORTHEAST WINDS REDEVELOP.
DRY AND WARMER WEATHER EXPECTED BY THE WEEKEND AND CONTINUE MOST OF
NEXT WEEK AS A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE DEVELOPS OVER CALIFORNIA.

Discussion from SFOFWFHNX

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL EXIT CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
AND MOVE INTO THE GREAT BASIN TONIGHT AND BRING LITTLE MORE THAN A
FEW RESIDUAL SHOWERS TO THE SIERRA EARLY THIS EVENING. A WEAK RIDGE
OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE OVER THE DISTRICT LATER TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY
AND BRING DRY WEATHER WITH LIGHT TERRAIN DRIVEN WINDS. AN UPPER LEVEL
TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING A RENEWED CHANCE OF SHOWERS TO MAINLY
THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY EVENING. TEMPERATURES WILL
AVERAGE SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE PERIOD WITH MODERATELY HIGH
HUMIDITIES.

Discussion from RNOFWFVEF

RAIN WILL TAPER OFF FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ACROSS THE
REGION THIS MORNING ALTHOUGH SOME SHOWERS WILL LINGER ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. DRY CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED WEDNESDAY BUT ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING A
CHANCE OF SHOWERS TO PORTIONS OF THE AREA THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
AND POSSIBLY INTO SATURDAY.

Discussion from PHXFWFPSR

A STRONG AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS MEXICO WILL BRING A WARMING AND
DRYING TREND TO THE DESERT SOUTHWEST TODAY. MOISTURE WILL BE ON THE
INCREASE THURSDAY AHEAD OF A PACIFIC LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM. SHOWERS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THURSDAY NIGHT ACROSS MUCH OF THE
AREA...PARTICULARLY NORTH AND EAST OF PHOENIX. WINDS WILL ALSO
BE ON THE INCREASE IN THE AREAS...PERHAPS GUSTING TO 25 MPH THURSDAY
NIGHT ACROSS PORTIONS OF GILA COUNTY.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS...

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
