...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

CALMER WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION TODAY. THE
EXCEPTION WILL BE DOWN THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY WHERE ISOLATED
GUSTS 25-35 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE. A MUCH STRONGER WIND STORM IS
EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE REGION THURSDAY, LINGERING INTO FRIDAY FOR
MANY AREAS. WIDESPREAD GUSTS OF 45 TO 65 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH
THIS SYSTEM ALONG WITH ISOLATED SHOWER/THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY TO THE
NORTH AND EAST OF LAS VEGAS. ANOTHER STORM MAY MOVE ACROSS THE
REGION LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A PASSING UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING THE WARMEST
WEATHER OF THE WEEK TODAY. A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING
THROUGH THE GREAT BASIN INTO THE SOUTHWEST STATES WILL BRING INLAND
COOLING FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...WITH STRONG AND GUSTY WEST WINDS
FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS THURSDAY...AND THEN TURNING NORTH LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY. WEAKER WINDS WITH SOME WARMING FOR NEXT
WEEKEND WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

DRY NORTHWEST FLOW IS EXPECTED TODAY ALONG WITH ABOVE NORMAL HIGH
TEMPERATURES AND LOCALLY BREEZY NORTHWEST WINDS MAINLY DURING THE
LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON. RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL LOWER TO
AROUND 10% IN THE DESERTS THIS AFTERNOON BUT SHOULD RECOVER TO
35-45% TONIGHT. ANOTHER DRY LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES IN LATE
THURSDAY WHICH WILL BRING GUSTY WINDS COMBINED WITH LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY. THIS WILL LIKELY CAUSE A FEW HOURS OF HAZARDOUS FIRE
WEATHER CONDITONS MAINLY IN SE CALIFORNIA AND FAR WESTERN PORTIONS
OF ARIZONA TOMORROW AFTERNOON.
