...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

A COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DROPPING OUT OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
WILL INCREASE SOUTHWEST TODAY FOLLOWED BY STRONGER SOUTHWEST WINDS
THURSDAY ACROSS THE MOJAVE DESERT REGION AND SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN.
A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE AREA LATE THURSDAY BRINGING
LIGHT SNOW CHANCES ABOVE 7000 FEET IN THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN.
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE NOT EXPECTED DUE TO RELATIVELY
HIGH FUEL MOISTURE AND MARGINAL HUMIDITIES.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE WEST WILL MAINTAIN STRONGER
ONSHORE FLOW, A DEEP MARINE LAYER AND BELOW AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THIS WILL KEEP RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES HIGH WEST OF THE MOUNTAIN RIDGES. WESTERLY WINDS WILL BE
GUSTY ALONG THE DESERT SLOPES AND IN THE DESERTS, ESPECIALLY
THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. WINDS WILL TURN OFFSHORE SUNDAY AND
CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY. THIS WILL BRING A SLOW WARMING TREND AND MAY
PRODUCE A PERIOD OF ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS NEAR AND BELOW
THE CAJON PASS. RIGHT NOW THE OFFSHORE FLOW DOESN`T APPEAR STRONG,
BUT WILL BE MONITORED CLOSELY.
