.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED EAST OF NC AND SC WILL MAINTAIN AN
EAST TO NORTHEAST WIND PATTERN TODAY. THE CMAN SITE AT SEBASTIAN
INLET WAS RECORDING NORTHEAST WINDS AT 9 TO 10 MPH. THE NORTHEAST
WIND WILL INCREASE TO 12 TO 15 MPH BY LATE MORNING ONCE THE SURFACE
BASED INVERSION IN THE BURN AREA DISSIPATES AND THE SLIGHTLY HIGHER
WINDS ABOVE MIX DOWN. CURRENT IR SATELLITE IMAGES SHOW A LARGE SWATH
OF MARINE STRATOCU JUST BEYOND 60NM OF SEBASTIAN INLET AND INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY MOVING TOWARD LAND AT 15 MPH. RADAR IS DETECTING SOME
LOW TOPPED SHOWERS AT VERO BEACH AND OUT IN THE ATLANTIC MOVING
TOWARD LAND. IF THESE SHOWERS DO MAINTAIN THEIR IDENTITY THEY COULD
PRODUCE A BRIEF LIGHT RAIN SHOWER LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON
BUT NOT ENOUGH TO MEASURE OR HAMPER BURN EFFORTS.
