...A LARGE CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS NEAR THE RIVER DELTA...

  Breton Sound...
  Chandeleur Sound...
  Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the
  Mississippi River out 20 nm...
  Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20
  NM...
  Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to
  Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM...
  Mississippi Sound...

At 116 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated a large area of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These
thunderstorms were located near Breton Sound, across the delta foot
to the waters south of Barataria Bay, moving north at 30 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...locally higher
waves...and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
