...MAJOR STORM SYSTEM EXPECTED LATE THIS WEEK...

THERE IS MODERATE TO HIGH CONFIDENCE IN STRONG LOW PRESSURE
DEVELOPING ALONG THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST IN THE THURSDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY TIME FRAME. THIS STRONG LOW IS LIKELY TO CAUSE
SOUTH WINDS TO REACH GALE FORCE BEGINNING THURSDAY...WITH GALES
POSSIBLY PERSISTING INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. A PERIOD OF STORM FORCE
WINDS IS ALSO EXPECTED DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. DUE TO THE LONG
TWO DAY DURATION OF THESE STRONG SOUTH WINDS...WIND SEAS ARE
EXPECTED TO BUILD TO 15 TO 25 FEET THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT.
THESE WAVES WILL POSE A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO MARINE
INTERESTS...ESPECIALLY SOUTH FACING PORTS SUCH AS PORT ORFORD.

STAY TUNED TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FOR FURTHER UPDATES AS
THE ARRIVAL OF THIS POTENTIALLY MAJOR STORM SYSTEM NEARS.
