A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 AM
PST THURSDAY. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR WINDS REMAINS IN EFFECT
FROM 4 AM EARLY THIS MORNING TO 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON.



* WINDS: SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 20 KT WITH WIND GUSTS INCREASING INTO
  THE 25 TO 30 KT RANGE TODAY. WINDS WILL INCREASE FURTHER TO 20
  TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS TO 35 KT WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WINDS WILL LIKELY
  PEAK DURING THE EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL LIKELY OCCUR
  WITHIN 20 NM OF THE COAST WHERE A WEAK COASTAL JET WILL LIKELY
  ENHANCE WIND SPEEDS.

* SEAS: 6 TO 8 FT EARLY TODAY...INCREASING SHARPLY WEDNESDAY
  EVENING...AND BUILDING TO 12 TO 14 FT WEDNESDAY NIGHT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR WIND MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 21 TO
33 KNOTS ARE EXPECTED. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY THOSE
OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE
CONDITIONS.

* IN THE MAIN CHANNEL...

* GENERAL SEAS: 6 TO 8 FT TODAY...THEN BUILDING TO 8 TO 10 FT
  WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* FIRST EBB: SEAS WILL TEMPORARILY BUILD TO NEAR 10 FT DURING THE
  EBB AROUND 715 AM WEDNESDAY.

* SECOND EBB: SEAS WILL TEMPORARILY BUILD TO NEAR 12 FT WITH
  BREAKERS DURING THE STRONG EBB AROUND 700 PM WEDNESDAY.
