WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 1 PM PST
TUESDAY. A STORM WATCH HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS STORM WATCH IS
IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.




* WINDS...SOUTH 15 TO 25 KT THIS AFTERNOON INCREASING TO 20 TO 30
  KT WITH GUSTS TO 35 TO 40 KT THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
  MORNING. SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE FURTHER TO 30 TO 40 KT WITH
  GUSTS TO 50 KT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A STRENGTHENING
  COASTAL JET TUESDAY EVENING AND TUESDAY NIGHT WILL LIKELY
  PRODUCE GUSTS OF AT LEAST 55 KT WITHIN 20 NM OF THE COAST.

* SEAS...6 TO 8 FT TODAY...WILL BUILD TO 10 TO 12 FT TONIGHT
  BEFORE INCREASING TO 16 TO 18 FT TUESDAY AFTERNOON...AND THEN
  LIKELY PEAK BETWEEN 25 TO 30 FT TUESDAY NIGHT OR WEDNESDAY.







PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR WIND MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 21 TO
33 KNOTS ARE EXPECTED. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY THOSE
OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE
CONDITIONS.

A STORM WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF STORM FORCE WINDS OF
48 TO 63 KNOTS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED...BUT THE SPECIFIC
TIMING AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN. IT IS INTENDED TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO
CONSIDER ALTERING THEIR PLANS.
