ALL BUT THE INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR FROM RATON TO SPRINGER TO LAS
VEGAS.  THESE AREAS CAN EXPECT LOCALIZED AREAS OF FREEZING FOG AND
DRIZZLE OR FREEZING DRIZZLE. WHILE MINIMAL ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED...SOME AREAS MAY OBSERVE WET OR SLICK PAVEMENT AS DRIZZLE
AND FOG FREEZES TO ROAD SURFACES. OTHERWISE...A WELCOMED WARMING
TREND WILL CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT AND TUESDAY BEFORE THE NEXT CHILLY
BLAST ARRIVES FOR WEDNESDAY.

RAIN AND HIGH ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS WILL RAPIDLY EXPAND IN COVERAGE
OVER NORTHWEST AND FAR WESTERN NEW MEXICO THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON.
EVEN A FEW THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE FOUR CORNERS REGION
AS WELL AS WEST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE. SNOW LEVELS WILL GENERALLY
VARY BETWEEN 8000 TO 9000 FEET WITH A DUSTING TO A COUPLE INCHES OF
FRESH SNOW EXPECTED AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS AND A FEW TO SEVERAL
HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAINFALL BELOW. AREAS OF MODERATE TO
OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL FAVOR THE HIGHER WEST AND SOUTHWEST
SLOPES OF THE NORTHWEST NEW MEXICO MOUNTAIN RANGES. VISIBILITY WILL
PERIODICALLY BE REDUCED...ESPECIALLY IN HIGH TERRAIN SNOW SHOWERS.

CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO WILL RESULT IN INCREASING RAIN AND
HIGH ELEVATION SNOW COVERAGE FOR THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO...GUADALUPE
AND CAPITAN MOUNTAIN RANGES AND NEIGHBORING AREAS TO INCLUDE THE
UPPER TULAROSA BASIN.  SNOW LEVELS WILL REMAIN QUITE HIGH AND
GENERALLY ABOVE 9000 FEET IF NOT HIGHER.  AS A RESULT...TRAVEL
IMPACTS DUE TO ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL ONLY IMPACT SKI RUN ROAD BELOW
SIERRA BLANCA. HOWEVER...RAIN FALLING ON SNOW BELOW 9000 FEET MAY
ACCELERATE SNOW MELT AND RESULT IN RISES IN AREAS CREEKS AND
STREAMS. ELSEWHERE...TEMPERATURES ON THE EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST
PLAINS ARE NOW ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK AND WILL REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING
THROUGH TONIGHT. THUS NO CONCERNS ABOUT FREEZING FOG OR FREEZING
PRECIPITATION IN THE IMMEDIATE SHORT TERM.
