Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to
affect South Texas this afternoon. Through 5 PM CDT, rainfall
rates can exceed 2 inches an hour, especially in and near slow
moving thunderstorms. This will certainly produce ponding of water
on the roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning and gusts to
30 miles an hour may accompany the thunderstorms as well.
