.A STRONG JET STREAM ALOFT WILL COMBINE WITH A STRONG PRESSURE
GRADIENT NEAR THE SURFACE TO PRODUCE VERY STRONG WINDS THIS
EVENING. STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE IN THE ARLINGTON AREA THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING...WHILE WINDS ELSEWHERE WILL BEGIN TO EASE OVER
THE NEXT FEW HOURS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS CANCELLED THE HIGH
WIND WARNING.

AREA WEATHER OBSERVATIONS HAVE SHOWN WIND SPEEDS CONTINUING TO
SLOWLY LOWER EARLY THIS EVENING. WIND SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO
REMAIN BELOW WARNING LEVELS. THEREFORE...THE HIGH WIND WARNING HAS
BEEN CANCELLED. EXPECT WINDS TO STILL GUST IN THE LOW TO MID 40
MPH RANGE THOUGH THROUGH THE LATE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS THAT
COULD CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

  PROFILE VEHICLES TRAVELING ALONG INTERSTATES 25 AND 80 BECAUSE
  OF STRONG WINDS. THE STRONG WIND WILL CREATE DANGEROUS CROSS
  WINDS THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS FOR THESE
  VEHICLES.

* WINDS...WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS 35 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 60
  TO 70 MPH.

* IMPACTS...THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT BLOW OVER RISK FOR HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES TRAVELING ALONG INTERSTATE 80 BECAUSE OF
  STRONG WINDS. THE STRONG WIND WILL CREATE DANGEROUS CROSS
  WINDS THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS FOR THESE
  VEHICLES. IN PARTICULAR...THE WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF
  TRANSPORTATION HAS CLOSED PORTIONS OF INTERSTATE 80 FROM
  RAWLINS TO LARAMIE TO LIGHT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES DUE TO
  WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 65 MPH. SLICK ROADWAYS AND REDUCED
  VISIBILITIES IN SNOW SHOWERS AND STRONG WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE
  THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
