New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Hurricane Gert was moving NE
and located S of the area near 37.4N 65.7W at 11 am this
morning, and will pass SE of the area later today. See the
latest National Hurricane Center advisory for Gert. Otherwise, a
weak cold front will move into the waters today and then be S of
the area tonight. A stationary front was across the far SE areas
of the waters and will weaken today. A weak high pres ridge will
build in from the W tonight, drift offshore Thu and Thu night,
then pass E of the waters Fri. A warm front will lift NE across
the waters from Fri night into Sat. A weak cold front will
approach from the W Sat, drift offshore early Sat night, then
pass SE of the waters Sun. Another high pres ridge will then
build in from the W Sun night.
