TO COLDER THAN NORMAL...

THE 2014 ASTRONOMICAL AUTUMN (WHICH RAN FROM SEPTEMBER 22ND THROUGH
DECEMBER 20TH/ WAS NEAR TO COLDER THAN NORMAL AND DRIER THAN NORMAL.
 BELOW ARE MORE DETAILS ON EACH OF THESE SITES...

LA CROSSE WI...

TEMPERATURES - SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN AVERAGE

DURING ASTRONOMICAL AUTUMN...TEMPERATURES AVERAGED 40.4 DEGREES AT
LA CROSSE REGIONAL AIRPORT.  THIS WAS 0.4 DEGREES WARMER THAN THE
LONG-TERM /1872-2014/ AVERAGE OF 40.0 DEGREES.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 48.3 DEGREES.  THIS WAS 0.2 DEGREES
COLDER THAN THE LONG-TERM AVERAGE OF 48.5 DEGREES.  THE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW FREEZING ON 23 DAYS.  THIS IS THE MOST SINCE
2010.

THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 32.5 DEGREES.  THIS WAS 1.0 DEGREES
WARMER THAN THE LONG-TERM AVERAGE OF 31.5 DEGREES.  THE LOW
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW FREEZING ON 40 DAYS AND BELOW ZERO ON 0 DAYS.

THE WARMEST HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 85 DEGREES ON SEPTEMBER 28TH. THE
COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 14 DEGREES ON DECEMBER 1ST.

THE WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 60 DEGREES ON SEPTEMBER 25TH. THE
COLDEST LOW TEMPERATURE WAS  4 DEGREES ON NOVEMBER 21ST.

FELL AT LA CROSSE REGIONAL AIRPORT.  THIS WAS 0.71 INCHES DRIER THAN
THE LONG-TERM AVERAGE OF 5.74 INCHES.

THE WETTEST DAY OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 2ND WHEN 1.36 INCHES OF
PRECIPITATION FELL.

TEMPERATURES - COLDER THAN AVERAGE

DURING ASTRONOMICAL AUTUMN...TEMPERATURES AVERAGED 36.3 DEGREES AT
ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.  THIS WAS 1.1 DEGREES COLDER THAN
THE LONG-TERM /1886-2014/ AVERAGE OF 37.4 DEGREES.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 44.4 DEGREES.  THIS WAS 2.4 DEGREES
COLDER THAN THE LONG-TERM AVERAGE OF 46.8 DEGREES.  THE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW FREEZING ON 28 DAYS.  THIS IS THE MOST SINCE
2000 /33 DAYS/.

THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 28.2 DEGREES.  THIS WAS 0.3 DEGREES
WARMER THAN THE LONG-TERM AVERAGE OF 27.9 DEGREES.  THE LOW
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW FREEZING ON 51 DAYS AND BELOW ZERO ON 4 DAYS.

THE WARMEST HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 80 DEGREES ON SEPTEMBER 27TH AND
SEPTEMBER 28TH.  THIS WAS COLDEST MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE IN AN AUTUMN

THE WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 57 DEGREES ON SEPTEMBER 27TH. THE
COLDEST LOW TEMPERATURE WAS -8 DEGREES ON NOVEMBER 27TH.

FELL AT ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.  THIS WAS 1.71 INCHES DRIER

THE WETTEST DAY OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 13TH WHEN 0.97 INCHES OF
