...WORK ON ACKERMAN TRANSMITTER STILL ONGOING...

NOAA WEATHER RADIO ALL-HAZARDS STATION KIH-51...TRANSMITTING ON A
FREQUENCY OF 162.475 MHZ FROM ACKERMAN MISSISSIPPI...IS STILL OFF
THE AIR AND REPAIRS ARE STILL IN PROGRESS. THE NOAA WEATHER RADIO
ALL-HAZARDS BROADCAST FOR THE ACKERMAN LISTENING AREA WILL LIKELY BE
RESTORED TO FULL SERVICE THIS WEEK ONCE REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED AND
THE TRANSMITTER IS OPERATIONAL.

IN THE MEANTIME...RESIDENTS ACROSS NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI WHO
NORMALLY RELY ON THE ACKERMAN NOAA WEATHER RADIO BROADCAST SHOULD
EITHER TUNE TO ANOTHER NOAA WEATHER RADIO ALL-HAZARDS STATION THAT
MAY SERVICE PORTIONS OF THE EFFECTED AREA...OR TUNE TO LOCAL
COMMERCIAL RADIO OR TELEVISION OUTLETS.
