...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE COASTAL BEND AND
EASTERN BRUSH COUNTRY TODAY...

NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TODAY BEHIND A WEAK BOUNDARY
THAT MOVES THROUGH THIS MORNING. DRIER AIR WILL ALSO FILTER INTO
THE AREA. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP TO
20 TO 30 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON. WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 20
MPH THROUGHOUT THE COASTAL BEND AND EASTERN BRUSH COUNTRY WITH
SOME HIGHER GUSTS POSSIBLE IN THE COASTAL COUNTIES...THEREFORE
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES.

AFFECTED RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE CARE WITH RESPECT TO ALL
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT COULD INADVERTENTLY CAUSE WILDFIRES. AVOID
THE USE OF WELDING OF GRINDING EQUIPMENT NEAR WEEKS, GRASS AND
DRY BRUSH. IN ADDITION, AVOID PARKING VEHICLES IN TALL, DRY GRASS
AND WEEDS THAT COULD BE IGNITED. DO NOT TOSS CIGARETTE BUTTS ON
THE GROUND. REPORT WILDFIRES QUICKLY TO THE NEAREST FIRE
DEPARTMENT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE.
