...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR THE EXTREME
SOUTHWEST TEXAS PANHANDLE INTO THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL SOUTH
PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON...

WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR WILDFIRE GROWTH.

* TIMING: FROM MIDDAY UNTIL 7 PM.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY: 5 TO 15 PERCENT.

* WIND: WEST TO NORTHWEST AT 15 TO 25 MPH THROUGH THE AFTERNOON,
  QUICKLY SHIFTING TO THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST AT SIMILAR SPEEDS
  BEHIND A COLD FRONT THIS EVENING.

* FUELS: RESIDUAL STANDS OF DRY GRASSES INTERMIXED WITH RAPIDLY
  GREENING FUELS.

THESE CONDITIONS WILL SUPPORT THE SPREAD OF WILDFIRES. OUTDOOR
BURNING AND ACTIVITIES THAT INVOLVE OPEN SPARKS OR FLAMES ARE
DISCOURAGED.
