DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1012 AM EST SAT FEB 13 2016

...All river forecast points remain below flood stage...

Cold...dry arctic high pressure is in place through the forecast
area this weekend. Late Sunday...the high will shift offshore as
a significant upper level system approaches from the west. A warm
front will form south of the region on Monday and lift northward
bringing a return of precipitation. Much of the Northern Midlands
and CSRA may see freezing precipitation changing to rain...with
amounts of .25 to .5 inches through most of our forecast area.
Heavier precipitation of .75 inches or more through Tuesday will
focus in the Upstate and mountains to our north. All river forecast
points are expected to remain below flood stage...with the only stage
fluctuations dependent upon releases by area dams. Further increases
in river stages may occur late next week as the heavier rainfall
upstream of our northern basins is released and propagates south.
